Accessible Document Converter

Conversion with SensusAccess

Jamestown Community College students and employees can use our SensusAccess tool to assist in creating accessible documents in alternative formats, including:

  • Accessibility conversion from inaccessible files
  • Audio books
  • Digital Braille
  • E-books

The service is fully automated. Documents you submit to the service are automatically deleted once they have been converted. SensusAccess does not store personal information.

You may use this service freely if copyright in the work to be used has expired or you own the copyright in the work.

You may also use this service if you are:

  • An individual with a print disability, or making an accessible copy for an individual with a print disability
  • Have rights to the work in an accessible format (i.e. purchased the work, have a license to the work, have access to the work through a source such as the library)
  • The accessible copy is only for the use of individuals with disabilities. Copies may not be distributed, or passed on to anyone else.
